Vimalan hails from Pondicherry, cherished under French culture. He graduated in architecture and engineered numerous buildings.

Since the time he took up the architecture, he was amazed with the construction of tall buildings. Since then his fascination towards designing and building the tall buildings has been cascading his mind every now and then. To limelight the dream, he found an opportunity to step into glass and steel architectural industry with the world giant in façade contracting, an “Italian company” gave him that opportunity to step into this arena. He began to learn exterior envelope systems and how it works.

Having been fascinated with skyscrapers and tall buildings, he has inclined towards glass and steel finishes which obviously been a viable materials for skinning any tall building constructions. Though it is more in an engineering arena the realistic approach and the construction aspects engrossed him to be specialized in glass, steel and metal architecture.

An architectural design not only includes the concept, the composition of space and the organization of the building's functions but should encompass its structural realization. The definition of surface and structural materials and their detailed application is an expression of the building as a whole.

Few projects, few experiences and few hard working years that he spent in Oversees gave me an far insight of how the façade systems works irrespective of any material and any locations.

Thereby he gained confidence to return back to India to set up his own company “METGLASI” for engineering and constructing right building façade envelopes. The combination of world class experience, customer centric process and the best practices allows him to deliver quality value engineering and mouth-taking solutions to our clients “ON TIME WITH IN THE BUDGET”.

Gopinathan is an graduate in architecture and has multi-disciplinary experience in Architecture. Earlier starting “METGLASI”, he worked with KEO(Dubai) and HKS(USA) on all phases from conceptual planning through construction documents. He is adept in portfolio management, stake holder management, strategic space planning, project conception, design management, design standardization, design review, retrofits, renovations, project coordination, competitive analysis, change management, vendor management, audits, quality control of diverse projects ranging from office fit outs, corporate - academic campus, residential villas, hospitals, multi use buildings & manufacturing facilities.
